Aisha Kandisha is a Jinn, an evil spirit that populates the imagination of Morocco. It manifests itself in human form often as a beautiful woman with a light white robe. Other times as an old toothless witch.
Aisha Kandisha has camel or goat legs instead of feet and legs and only appears at night to men.
It is said that Aisha was the daughter of a landowner from the High Atlas. She was a young woman of rare beauty, with a white white skin, hazel eyes and long black hair.
To help the resistance against the Portuguese invaders already settled on the coast and protect her lands, the young woman used her beauty to seduce the Portuguese officers, lead them to dark and secluded places and then kill them.
Even after his death he continued to wander and frighten men who ventured into isolated places and who had to be careful not to succumb to his beauty.
In the modern and urban variant of the legend Aisha would be the nightmare of taxi drivers and truck drivers who ask for rides along the streets.
The drivers are captivated by the beautiful woman and then scared to death to see her turn into an old witch so much that they lose their reason.
